Since 1987 the Naming rules have been modified several times. The main changes have been approved in the last two years. Here follows a list of the main changes.
Before the “it” deregulation

After the “it” deregulation
- unlimited number of domains per organisation located in the EU (from December 15th, 1999)
- one domain per individuals (from January 15th, 2000)
- administrative procedure for dispute resolutions
- transfer of a domain name
