What if we are not IPv6 ready when IPv4 addresses are used up

• IPv6 users still need to access IPv4 servers

  • through 6-to-4 NAT

• IPv4 users need to access new IPv6 servers?

  • IPv6 servers share a single fixed IPv4 address and are mapped to different port

• No reason for ISPs to support IPv6

  • No critical mass for 6-to-6 communication

• We will never be IPv6 ready
