POS – Detection of a Down Link
SONET/SDH signalling should discover a failed link in less than 10ms
- for fiber distance less than 2000km between the router and the ADM detecting the failure
Driver waits for <Carrier-Delay> between bringing the interface down
- Default Carrier-Delay is 2sec!
