How to register a domain name under the it ccTLD 1/2
The applicant should contact a registered provider/maintainer
Depending on the type of applicant, a particular letter of assumption of responsibility has to be signed and sent to the RA
There are 5 different Letters:
- companies/firms
- self-employed persons/professionals
- public administrations
- associations
- individual persons
The letter can be also filled online by means of a Web form
- the letter has to be filled in by the legal representative of the organisation asking for the domain name (or by someone delegated by him) and has to be sent via fax or ordinary mail to the RA
- the letter can be sent by the applicant or by the provider/maintainer
- only the letter (if filled in correctly) determines the priority on the domain name request
- “first come first served” policy
