- Reception conditions
- Determined by its position
- Gain in the amplifier inside the antenna
- Fixed, but varies from one model of antenna to another
- Loss in the cable
- Depends on cable type and quality
The signal strength at the receiver should be above a fixed threshold set by the receiver
